Commercial formats for
paper consumption

The Navigator Company is one of the strongest Portuguese brands globally in its sector. Its production structure is based on four major industrial sites located in Cacia, Figueira da Foz, Vila Velha de Ródão and Setúbal, which are major references in the international pulp and paper industries.

 

Paper has been marketed in a single format conditioned by industrial and logistical requirements, and consumers must adapt to these formats. At the same time, the evolution of social awareness of recycling and new digital technologies are forcing a rethink of the paper business model, opening up new relationship and product possibilities.

 

Challenge:

Our objective was to analyse how, through the redefinition of paper formats and their paper formats and their logistics of access to the market, we could modify the business model. 

Solution:

By understanding the different needs, contexts of use and actors involved in paper consumption, we define packaging solutions that respond to different sectors, both in terms of distribution and end use of the product. The mode of consumption, the new logistical needs, the management of the complete paper cycle and the incorporation of new technologies allow us to establish new links between manufacturer, distributor and end consumer.
