Value Due Diligence: Asset evaluation and growth projection

Babaria is a natural cosmetics brand especially present in the categories of body care, facial care, tanning and sun protection.


The investment fund Corpfin Capital was evaluating the entry into the company and asked us for a Value Due Diligence of the company in order to analyse the current real value and the potential for future development in relation to its product/service and to secure the investment.

 

Challenge:

We developed a Value Due Diligence for Babaria with a double objective: to qualify its current value and to dimension its future development potential. To do this, we analysed its knowledge assets, brand DNA, the key attributes of its value proposition, product and service offerings, its channel presence and customer base, all in contrast with the evolution of the market and the competitive context.

Solution:

We perform the Value Due Diligence report within a demanding timeframe, including the Go / No-go valuation required to move from non-binding offer to acquisition. We identify the current real value of the company in relation to its product and offering, as well as its market position and main competitors. In addition, we analysed the future value and development potential to maximise the business opportunity. After the purchase process, we accompanied Babaria's management team in the development of the strategic product plan and its implementation, focusing on accelerating and capturing the potential detected.


This work allowed the fund to make decisions based on a clear vision of the current and future value of the company. Together with the management team, we optimised the offer by markets and channels, accelerated the implementation of the strategic product plan and laid the foundations to reach the target of €100m by 2025, with significant growth in international markets, which already account for 40% of the business.
